Overall he did great!! Except he hated the IV procedure. So hard to believe he had to stay awake during the surgery on his eye. Another shocking part was he was asleep was for the needle procedure that had to go through his head to his eyes which he stayed asleep for about 20 minutes (according to my dad, he was knocked out so he wouldn't know how long her was knocked out). After he woke up, he had to stay awake during the cataract surgery.
You did just fine dad :D Now you have 20/20 vision on your left eye.

I am surprised he got released that early after a IV procedure, but I believe that day surgery is better option, as you would rather recover home than in a hospital bed. The results of the surgery make it worthwhile; however, not going to sleep must have been hard. Couldn't be better than a 20/20 vision.

I was scheduled to see the eye doctor last month and upon my visit I could not believe how technology has changed. The doctor not only does the wall eye chart, but the glasses test and the star test revealed I had cataracts too. This allowed the doctor to better identify what procedure was needed to correct my issue quickly.
